How Do AI Credits Work in SproutOS?
Learn how SproutOS AI credits are used, tracked, and allocated across your workspace projects.
AI credits (called Sprout Tokens) are the units SproutOS uses to meter AI-powered features. Every workspace receives a token allocation based on your plan. Credits are consumed when you use AI text generation, AI design suggestions, or sitemap chat. You can track your usage in real time from the workspace dashboard.
What Consumes AI Credits?

How to Check Your Credit Balance
Open your workspace
Go to the SproutOS Dashboard and select your workspace.
View the token display
Your credit balance appears in the workspace header (for example, "1.2K / 5K tokens").
Open the usage dashboard
Navigate to Settings > Usage to see a detailed breakdown by feature, AI model, and date.
What Happens When Credits Run Out?
AI-powered features pause until credits reset or you upgrade your plan. You can still use non-AI features like manual text editing, section reordering, and export.
The usage dashboard color-codes your balance: blue means normal, amber means over 90% used, and red means credits are exhausted.
